Happy, happy, Joy, joy!!!

So a few sundays ago, my pastor talked about joy and tried to describe it. He did a good job, but it all really sunk in for me tonight while my family and I were in Chicago with my uncle. Abbey was dancing around, singing at the top of her lungs about wanting a hippo for christmas. Yes, people stared, no, she didn't care. And it was the most joyful thing I ever saw!

The city

I was coming home from Aquire the fire last night, and I noticed something odd about the scene around me. We were driving through Chicago, and I was watching the cars and the lights, and I saw an eerie beauty in it all. Almost everything was man made, but someone had to imagine it. Someone had to decide how it would work. How the streets would come together, how the buildings would stand. How the lights would look and everything else like wise.

I was just watching Bambi and I was at the part when the forest is on fire. The only people hurting the forest in that movie is the men. That movie should be made into a forest fire comercial. Lets take care of our Forests folks!

So, my youngest sister is in love with little house on the prarie right now and it can be very funny. She and her friends dress up in their cute little outfits and pretend to be Laura and Mary Ingalls. It's easy to watch them and wonder what they see in it, but what I would like to know is if maybe they have a point. Our modern world has so many worries and distrations that it's too easy to fall into the hustle and bustle of everyday chaos. Adults sometimes scoff at kids pretending, but I think we pretend just as much if not more than they do. I think it would be nice to live in a time when life was, not simpler, but less complex if that makes sense. A time when a persons word was all you needed to know they were telling the truth. When objects weren't everything. That would be awsome I think.

Saving money

I have been watching Dave Ramsy videos as apart of my home schooling and I have added some thing to my bucket list. I will never get in debt. It will be hard to do but I am determined!

Yesterday, I tried Archry for the first time and I loved it! It was so fun, but a little hard. The string is strung very tight. My brother and I were competing to see who shot better. I'm not sure who won. Oh well.

This poem was done by a very good friend of mine. I've seen her work before, but this is AWSOME!!!!!! I love how it perfectly describes how we kind of forget how to express ourselves like little kids. Well done Madeline! A perfect poem.

Fingerpainting

I asked myself why I dont miss
the days of fingerpainting and
realized it's because I never really stopped.
When I knew little I told my story with colors
When I knew more I told my story with shapes
Always I've been told to tell my story with tears
But now, I tell my story with words
So that I saw that I've never given up
the days of fingerpainting
I just make a mess with words instead.
-Madeline Emily

This poem was written by one of my very best friends.
Ok, so today, I'm going to talk about something very dear to my heart. My Bucket list. No, I'm not dying or going to die any time soon, but I have a large list and the only way to finish it is by starting now. I have a grand total of twenty three things actually written down and several other thing that aren't written down. There are only three things that I have been able to finnish. And those things are, eat turkyey in Turkey (This was hard to find) assisted by my father and two good friends. Riding an Elephant and seeing a griaffe in Africa. I dont know if this one counts because it was in a zoo, but still in Africa. The other things on my list are still awaiting their check mark. Here are a few.
1.Call my mom from the top of Mt. Everest.
2.yell something random from the bottom of a cave.
3.Fry an egg on a road in death valley.
4.Float in the dead sea.
5. Swiss cheese in switserland!
6. Find my roots in Norway.
7.Count how many steps it takes to get to the top of the Effil tower.
These are only a few, but my favorites! Bucket lists are important, I think, because then you can live life to the fullest! Live everyday like theres no tomorrow!
